Our Mission
- To foster and maintain an association of individuals and businesses interested in libraries, the arts, our cultural heritage, and the promotion of knowledge.
- Establish a closer relationship between the library* and the community; to promote interest and support for the library's functions, resources, services and activities.
- To raise funds for acquisitions, projects or activities in excess of budgeted library resources; to support and cooperate with the library as it develops services and facilities for the community.
- To support the Freedom to Read and the Freedom to View as expressed in the American Library Association Bill of Rights.

The Friends Group needs people interested in taking on various roles within the group. Meetings are infrequent and not mandatory. If you want to help the library as a volunteer, be a reading-group leader, help with the after-school homework program, participate in spring and/or autumn cleaning, pitch in with our gardener, or some other activity; we need your energy.
